Alive Youth
Mission and Vision:
2011 was a great year for GodSong’s Alive Youth. Some words that describe 2011 are active, refinement and unity. To say that Alive Youth was busy in 2011 is an understatement. We took the foundation that Alive Youth has built over the last few years and expanded upon it.
Alive youth took the great teachings and activities that have been done in the past, such as sex and dating, relationships, faith, words the Bible, vision, dreams and added more. In 2011 Alive Youth focused on new topics such as stewardship, serving, leadership, outreach, unity and others. Along with these new topics, we added some great activities and service/outreach trips. In 2011, Alive Youth successfully completed it’s first mission trip to inner city Portland, Oregon. We also embarked on our first Homeless Immersion Expedition, proving that youth care deeply about the condition and future of their city and their fellow brothers and sisters. Alive Youth also started doing supernatural Treasure Hunts that focus on outreach, prophesy, words of knowledge, healing and evangelism. this last year Alive Youth added a leadership group for those interested in growing in their leadership abilities and knowledge.
There is so much more to add to this list of what Alive Youth experienced and did last year, but as the new year continues we are hopeful for an even greater year. We are believing 2012 to be a year of further refinement, greater growth and a year of increased branching out. There is so much that 2012 holds for Alive and we are very excited.
Alive Youth’s mission is to equip the youth to authentically radiate God in who they are in order to change the world. With this being said, we desire three things for the youth. They authentically encounter God, they experience genuine and real community and they live out their God-given dream and destiny. We believe that if we throw ourselves into this vision, Alive Youth can only further grow and accomplish all that is in God’s heart.
