Outreach
Beyond The Brick is the name of the covering for the outreaches we do here at GodSong that touch our community and beyond. Beyond the Brick is a vital part of our call directly supported by Isaiah 58. We must never cease to serve those in need. Here is the list of current programs housed in Beyond the Brick:
- SOW (Service on Wheels): Annual backpack outreach to local school kids, skate park outreach (a youth driven outreach to kids at the Newberg Skate Park), give-a-ways to Newberg and beyond. If you would like to be a part of gathering school supplies for our community or passing them out, there is always a place for you!
- The Non-Food Pantry: There is a high demand in our community for necessities that are not covered by food stamps. GodSong is the supply house for these items in our community. Items can be donated on Sunday mornings in our Resource Center and will then be made available to meet the needs of our community when the pantry is open. We work in tandem with Love Inc. on this project as they send families our way so we can meet their needs.
- Financial Peace University: The Dave Ramsey financial series led by Bill and Kristi Hagen. We have several of these classes offered periodically throughout the year. If you want to sign up for the next class or need more information email the church office for Kristi Hagen’s contact.
GodSong Missions
As we look ahead to all that God has for GodSong, we are thrilled to launch GodSong Missions. We fully recognize that we cannot walk in our mandate as a church, a community, of a tribe without branching our and impacting the world around us. There are many that call GodSong home that have a heart for the nations; go to serve, establish ministries, and some perhaps, even live.
With the call to equip and release world changers, which is in keeping with GodSong’s vision, it is our desire to establish a vehicle that will facilitate training, equipping, and sending individuals and groups to walk in their call to missions and global impact.
GodSong Missions will have a two-pronged approach to the broad and expansive call to “disciple the nations”
US Missions: Include trips inside the united States, which is a huge mission field in itself. We believe that we are going to see an increase in opportunities to partner with other ministries, as well as establish ministries here in the United States.
World Missions: It is time we step into opportunities to bring the transforming love and power of Christ to the nations of the world. This will be accomplished by facilitating trips and opportunities in-house, as well as joining with other individuals and ministries.
