Artist of the Month
Inspirational Vision
Renaissance is the name of the creative arts department here at GodSong. This particular department houses worship, dance, drama, textile arts, literary arts, and media arts. Renaissance has grown in its mission over the past year. Our worship teams are stronger than ever and we have added video announcements, which have been enormously successful. Our Artist of the Month spotlight is a huge hit and our dance and drama teams have only grown in their unique calls and gifts.
Worship: GodSong is committed to raising up worshippers who are devoted to lifting Jesus in spirit and truth. We have a passion to bring the new song from heaven to earth. Our team spends a lot of time collaborating and writing music that is reflecting how God is moving in our church. GodSong worship team is open to new folks as our church grows. You will be asked to go through a short interview and audition with our worship pastor, Heidi Thomason. Artist Spotlight: Artist Spotlihgt has been a great addition to the culture here at GodSong. We believe God speaks prophetically to ALL people, and art is one of the most tangible ways we hear God’s voice and see His beauty. GodSong has many artists, and the number grows weekly. Praise be to God! On any given Sunday, you could see easles erected at the front of our sanctuary with people painting, drawing, sketching, or writing during worship. GodSong also hosts prophetic art and worship nights. We have seen incredible art come out of services where people are given the freedom to express their worship in textile arts. Artist of the month is not restricted to GodSong church members only. If you know of an artist in our community that you would like to nominate…please let us know! Renaissance Dance Team: 2013 promises to be a great year as we make some transitions within the team. It is my desire to encourage, train and release individuals into their destinies. Our team is full of many strong leaders and we will be guiding these upcoming leaders into new areas and releasing them into new roles.
As a result of these desires, we will be exploring some exciting changes. As I work with different choreographers and release them to be creative, you will see new kinds of dances. Different genres, all-male, all-female, small groups and thought provoking subjects. I am really excited to see all the vision coming out of this group. – Sherri Moore

Renaissance Drama Team: What drama team, say you? We are just waiting for you! Pastor Marcus and I have a desire to bring drama as a regular part of GodSong. We have many gifted actors, writers, and visionaries who are also ready to pull together a GodSong Drama team. if you are interested in drama, watch the bulletin this Spring for some opportunities coming! Dance/Drama stirs the soul and through that sense of connection, we gain the opportunity to share with those who may never set foot inside a church. It is our prayer that we will be able to take our talents Beyond the Brick and to the streets!
